We. Are. Moving.

Got the dream job. We're moving to New Mexico.

While NM may be one of the only states in the nation stranger than Missourah, the job opportunity is everything I could have ever dreamed about, and more. Being closer to B, M &W...and the possibility of the parents building a cabin in Taos...makes the deal sweeter than I can describe here in words.

I post here occasionally so that my family can see what we're up to out here in the State of Misery: thanks to you all for your continued support and fond wishes as we transition.

Closing ruminations about St. Louis to follow, along with further details as to the impetus of the move.

For now, saddle up. The next few months are going to be a wild ride.

Willow is now talking up a storm. Every morning of my visit she knocked on my bedroom door, wanting to show me her arsenal of toys. Her saying "Uncle Yason" is just about the cutest thing I've ever heard.

On the high road from Taos, heading back to Santa Fe.

B: Ahhhhh, look at the baby cow.
M: We should bring him home. He could be a friend for the dog and a pet to Willow.
Me: Or veal. Tender, tender veal.

I seem to be lacking in certain animal protective traits that my brother and sister-in-law hold dear.
